  • First-assist to a pediatric orthopedic surgeon during surgical procedures including all suturing and local anesthetic injections.
  • Provides pre and post-operative care. independent schedule seeing pediatric patients with trauma, fracture care, casting, treatment of osteomyelitis and joint infections includingjoint aspirations and injections, evaluation of abnormal gait, back pain, foot deformities, complex limb deformities. neuromuscular disorders, spina bifìda, scoliosis, developmental hip dysplasia, club foot and spica body casts.
  • Clinic focuses on bone health including vitamin D and calcium supplementation and nutritional counseling.

    Inpatient rounds providing post-operative care including: lab review, drain management, dressing and cast care, medication orders, facilitating hospital discharges, ER consults, orthopedic admissions, preoperative management for surgical patients.
  • Outpatient clinic duties including office hours with an independent schedule of patients; intra-articular and soft tissue aspiration/injections: fracture care, casting, splinting; surgical staple and suture removal, teaching patient education classes prior to total joint arthroplasty; training medical asśistants; after-hours coverage of the answering service.
