Virtual Consultation
Get To Know These Board-certified Plastic Surgeons At The Peer Group In New Jersey
To protect the health of our patients and staff, Drs. Isaac Starker, Francisco G. Colón, and Colin L. Failey, are offering virtual consultations for new patients interested in plastic surgery or injectables. Our staff is available to assist you by phone or email to begin your experience and will be your guide every step of the way. Consultations are powered by Touchmd.com, a HIPAA-compliant app to protect your privacy. It is simple to use on your desktop, laptop, or mobile devices, enabling you to meet with the doctors in the privacy of your own home as if you were in our office.
Our consultation fee is $200, which will be deducted from the cost of your surgery or treatment should you choose to schedule. Also included in the consultation fee is a second in-office visit with your doctor, which will be scheduled when the current COVID-19 precautions are no longer in effect.
Process
After requesting a virtual consultation, you will be contacted by one of our patient coordinators who will obtain your demographic information and will then email you a link so that you can provide your medical information online.
Once your forms have been completed, you will be contacted to schedule a consultation. Consultations hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Once your virtual consultation has been scheduled, step-by-step instructions on how to use Touchmd.com will be e-mailed to you. These will include instructions on how to download the MyTouchMD app, which will then allow you to log on to receive information about our practice and your procedure(s) of interest, a consent form to allow us to proceed with the telemedicine consultation, and—most importantly—instructions on how to take and upload your photos securely.
As the doctors are unable to meet with you personally, your photographs are essential for them to provide you with the best and most effective consultation. All photos and medical information must be completed by the day PRIOR to your scheduled appointment in order for us to proceed with your consultation.
During your virtual consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss your goals with your doctor just like an in-office consultation, but since he will be unable to examine you directly, he will use your photographs to better understand the reasons for the visit. Together, you will review your options and create your custom aesthetic treatment plan. When you are seen in the office for your in-person second visit, the plan will be reviewed before it is finalized so that you can achieve the best result, whether by surgery or by a different approach.
After your virtual consultation with one of The Peer Group physicians, one of our patient coordinators will be available to answer any questions you may have, review the cost of your surgery or treatment plan, and discuss scheduling details.
Please be aware that all virtual consultation recommendations and surgical plans, as well as the anticipated cost of your treatment(s) or procedure(s), will be reviewed and confirmed at your in-office consultation prior to your undergoing any surgery or procedure. They are therefore subject to change if there are differences noted on direct examination that were not appreciated at your virtual consultation or in the submitted photographs.
